room was spacious and bed comfortable. breakfast was quite good, large bathroom with whirlpool bath and shower, hair dryer, with gel, shampoo, body cream, etc. replenished daily. Bathrobes and slippers, although only for 2 and we were 3. Complimentary coffee and infusions in the room. hotel is well located in a quiet area but with everything at hand: tram stop, shopping center in front (shopping, restaurants, cinemas and parking), public parking at 5 minutes, you can walk to the Guggenheim, Euskalduna Palace, modern art museum, naval museum. There are also cafeterias nearby if you do not want to have breakfast in the hotel.
The hotel is suffering from the passage of time and needs a general renovation of the rooms: furniture, painting, lights. We made use of a duvet located in the attic of the wardrobe and that part was full of dust, not cleaned for a long time. One lamp did not work. The TV stand was already in bad condition and could not be oriented. The heating fan, by means of a heat pump, could only be set at minimum, otherwise it made an unbearable noise. When we arrived, the extra bed was not yet in place. The price of the parking lot is double that of other nearby parking lots.

The architecture of the hotel building was stunning, the lobby was amazing with glass lifts and stunning decor. the bedrooms were spacious, comfortable and well equipped with our huge double bed and our bathroom had enormous walk in shower and big bath. Just had a slightly odd smell in bedroom (ex-smoking room?) but opened the window and it was fine by morning. We had great view of riverside and scenery from 4th floor. the breakfasts were sumptious, varied and very tasty. Every day they bought out different choices. Airline pilots and hostesses stay - always a good sign. Our evening meal (the cheaper version) was also very enjoyable and we sat in lovely glazed dining room with views over the park. the covered but outdoor pool was small but perfectly adequate for our 3 boys to release some energy and the older ones and Dad made full use of the well-equipped gym. Changing rooms clean and stylish and include a sauna. Service friendly throughout. The location was great just a 10- 15 min walk from the Guggenheim and Bellas Artes Museums. Tram stop and good retail centre with Habitat, Zara and Massimo Dutti opposite hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here, did not want to leave.
We wanted to eat in hotel but big party had fully booked so my tip is to reserve a table in bistro or restaurant when you check in as we were not advised that at the time of our arrival at 7pm. So we had to take our chances late at night on our first night- not a great start. Went to nearby outdoor restaurant by the river short walk from hotel, complete rip off, food overpriced, very unfriendly and most expensive meal of our 10 day, 3 centre stay £100 for 5 for one course meal and drink. food not special either.

I appreciated the hotel's modern design and spacious areas, easy to navigate. The beautiful decorations, especially in the lobby, created a warm and cute atmosphere that was perfect for relaxation throughout my stay.
More accessible seating in dining areas would be ideal.

There was a fantastic selection for breakfast, and the spacious family room. The only downside was a minor issue with the room phone not working, but we managed just fine 😊

Proximity to Guggenheim Museum, Quality Gym Facilities, Warm Water Pool Experience
The hotel is showing its age with constant maintenance issues!!! Rooms lack basic amenities like tea-making facilities, disappointing for a so-called luxury accommodation!!!

The hotel is modern and stylish. The location is good for the Guggenheim, however it is about a 20 minute walk from the old town where the best shops and Pinxtos (tapas) bars are. Not an issue if you like walking as the walk is pretty nice either along the river promenade(not at night though as quiet and not well lit and few dodgy looking characters lurking in the shadows!!) or best walk along the main shopping avenue. There is a nice park opposite the hotel where if you are patient you can get a parking spot which is free over the weekend (hotel charge quite high). Room excellent (although we were given a bit of a stinker at first as it was a smoking one!) after going back to reception the very helpful and competent (if a bit slow) girl put us in another room. Bathroom huge with a great walk in double shower and double sink. All in all a good hotel and would go back again if we ever get the desire (not likely) to go back to Bilbao! (Been there done that etc)
None really apart from the fact that there are not enough staff on reception and the ones that are are pretty slow giving rise to queues. The price should have included breakfast. There are better hotels for similar price with breakfast and I beleive you are paying a premium for being close to the river and the Guggenheim. Better option to look at hotels closer to the old town.

It was in a magnificent and perfect location a walking distance from Dona Casilda Park. There were a main shopping street and a shopping street around the hotel. We ate at a very nice restaurant for breakfast.

The reception staff were excellent, the room was very nicely appointed with a very big bathroom and nice amenities.
I thought the breakfast for 22Eu per person was a disgrace. The food had been sitting around and the scrambled egg looked like it had been there for several hours. A disgrace and I should say a big health and hygiene hazard. Nothing stored under cover, open to flies and sneezes etc. Cold meats and cheeses curly round the edges. I would not recommend the hotel for this reason alone. The room was very hot and I guess the engineer, to save money, had the room air coin units switched off as all if provided was 26 degrees circulated hot air.
